What you’ll be doing as a Fleet Technician:
As a Fleet Technician, you'll play an important role in Beam's success on the streets. You’ll be based at our warehouse and responsible for the quality of our e-vehicles. You will come to know our e-vehicles from top to bottom, inside and out, and will be capable of doing anything from quick repairs to total refurbishments if necessary. We are looking for someone who takes real pride in their work and ensures that Beam’s e-vehicles remain the safest and most reliable vehicles out there.
Your day will also include:
- Supporting other warehouse operations as needed (e.g. taking delivery of new e-vehicles)
- Repair and refurbish of our e-vehicles
- Communicating with your Operations team on supply requirements (e.g. spare parts)
- Working with the Operations team to monitor and maintain stock accuracy against our inventory management system
- Keeping our warehouse and work areas tidy
- Overseeing waste disposal
- Thinking about, and sharing, ways we can improve our productivity and streamline our processes
- Following and adhering to our internal processes and procedures, particularly those relating to WH&S
- Meeting our warehouse KPIs
- Supporting the onboarding of our new warehouse team members as required
- May be required depending on location to rebalance scooters from end-trip areas to hotspots and Swap batteries to ensure our scooters are fully charged for riders
What you’ll be doing as a Van Marshal:
- Operate our vans to deploy, redistribute and swap batteries on our fleet of e-vehicles
- Patrol the city to ensure that our e-vehicles are appropriately parked and that the city remains neat and tidy
- Conduct in-field quality checks and collect any damaged e-vehicles for repair at the warehouse
- Perform basic maintenance on Beam e-vehicles to ensure that our riders will continue using the safest and most reliable vehicles
- Evaluate and provide feedback to the Operations team on current and potential parking locations
- Report any bad behaviour of riders to the Operations team in line with Beam’s Three Strikes policy against anti-social behaviour
- Support the marketing and promotion of Beam’s services, such as by helping people who have questions about the company, how to create a Beam account or how to safely ride an e-vehicle
- Assist with recovering lost and missing scooters
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform duties
- Problem solve issues when in the field and find creative ways to overcome obstacles
What you'll be doing as a Foot Marshal:
- Work and patrol on an e-vehicle (generally a Beam e-scooter) to perform your tasks, which can include redistributing and swapping batteries on our fleet of e-vehicles
- Patrol the city to ensure that our e-vehicles are appropriately parked and that the city remains neat and tidy
- Conduct in-field quality checks and flag any damaged e-vehicles for collection
- Perform basic maintenance on Beam e-vehicles to ensure that our riders will continue using the safest and most reliable vehicles
- Evaluate and provide feedback to the Operations team on current and potential parking locations
