About Charm
Our mission is to return the atmosphere to 280 ppm CO₂. We convert excess inedible biomass into carbon-rich bio-oil and inject it into underground storage for permanent carbon removal. At scale we can use bio-oil to make fossil-free iron.
Our carbon removal pathway took off in 2020 with initial purchases from customers like Stripe, Shopify & Microsoft. Since then we’ve scaled to thousands of tons of carbon removal, over a hundred employees, and now have three locations in San Francisco, Colorado, and Kansas. We are seeking an eager Accounts Payable Specialist that can oversee the onboarding of new vendors and can ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments across multiple subsidiaries. As the company continues to scale and transaction volumes increase, we are looking for someone to help develop the systems and policies that will support the ongoing growth of the business.
This role reports to the Controller and will be expected to work collaboratively with all departments throughout Charm.
Your Responsibilities:
- Onboard new vendors with all proper documentation.
- Manage accounts payable for multiple subsidiary companies, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments across entities.
- Oversee the coding, management, and compliance of both virtual and physical credit cards to ensure alignment with company policies.
- Audit and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records for all accounts payable transactions and support audit processes as needed.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and address any vendor inquiries.
- Assist with month-end close processes regarding Accounts Payable.
- Contribute to process improvement and policy updates within the function.
You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
