Wright Electric Inc. (Wright) is a U.S.-based company developing the world’s first zero-emissions commercial aircraft. Wright is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10 years of experience to be part of a growing R&D team focused on aircraft electrification. This is a hands-on position to rapidly prototype power electronic and control systems for motor and generator applications.Required:- Minimum 10 years of professional electrical engineering experience is required- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering is required- Experience with prototype and product development- Experience with supporting testing and test-plan development- Experience with identifying and sourcing components to realize a design- Ability to work with and engage team members across departments- Strong mentoring abilities- Capable of owning tasks from beginning to endDesired:- Experience with motors, drives, and power electronics- Experience with medium voltage and three-phase systems- Experience with aircraft and aerospace systems- Experience with generators and micro-gridsThis position requires the ability to obtain access to NASA, DoD and other government facilities (U.S. Government background investigation required).Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO/paid sick time, and retirement benefits.Location: This position is located in the United States in Malta, NY.
