As the India Site Lead, you will spearhead the establishment and growth of our new product development hub in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and retaining a high-performing team, fostering a mission-driven culture and aligning the hub’s activities with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of top-tier engineers, product managers and designers.
  • Build and foster a strong employer brand in Bangalore to attract high quality talent.
  • Create a collaborative and high performing work environment that encourages high velocity decision making, first principles thinking and scrappiness.
  • Facilitate and model stellar cross functional collaboration and communication across geographies and teams.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership in the US to develop and execute the hub’s strategic plan.
  • Ensure alignment of the hub’s objectives with the overall company goals.
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed to meet evolving business needs.

Product Development and Innovation:

  • Oversee the development and delivery of cutting-edge healthcare products and services.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation and problem solving within the team.
  • Stay abreast of US healthcare industry trends and emerging technologies to guide the hub’s focus and overall company roadmap.

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage the hub’s operational budget and resources effectively.
  • Implement best practices in project management and product development processes.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in all activities.
  • Oversee the delivery of high impact priorities in alignment with the company roadmap and agreed upon timelines.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Bangalore hub.
  • Build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders, including finance, legal, infosec, people and talent, operations, sales and marketing.

The background we're looking for:

  • A deep entrepreneurial spirit and owners mindset.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the tech industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience as a site lead or local head of a team working with a US-based company strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of India's tech talent market and proven strategies for attracting and retaining top talent in a competitive environment.
  • Expertise in crafting and implementing policies that support a diverse and inclusive work environment, considering the cultural nuances of the Indian tech industry.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, especially in the context of vendor and partnership agreements in India.
  • Deep understanding of the latest technologies and product development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the startup ecosystem, agile environments and our technology stack.
