Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled iOS Engineer to join our dynamic and rapidly growing engineering team. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the Pelago iOS app, ensuring our members receive the best possible care and user experience. This role involves working on exciting projects such as telemedicine features, video calls with healthcare professionals, and access to necessary medications.

In this role you will…

• Build and maintain the Pelago iOS app, providing our members with a seamless and high-quality experience.
• Work in an agile environment as part of a cross-functional squad, taking full ownership of the features within the app.
• Collaborate with the wider product team (product managers, designers) to develop creative solutions to challenges.
• Act as the go-to person for iOS knowledge, offering guidance and mentorship to more junior team members.
• Work alongside other developers on the technical roadmap, continuously improving our codebase and workflows.
• Drive the adoption of AI and machine learning techniques within the app to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Apply engineering best practices, including testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment, to ensure a robust and reliable app.

The background we are looking for...

• At least 5 years of professional iOS development experience; side projects are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Swift and the iOS ecosystem (Xcode, TestFlight, CocoaPods, etc.).
• An eye for design and a focus on providing a great user experience (knowledge of Human Interface Guidelines, accessibility, etc.).
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, particularly MVVM.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with tools like Postman.
• Good knowledge of testing on iOS (unit testing & UI testing) and automation of these processes.
• Experience maintaining continuous integration/deployment pipelines, preferably on Bitrise.
