We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, quality assurance, and test automation. As an SDET, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, implementation, and execution of automated test cases and frameworks.
In this role you will…
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability for web and mobile applications.
- Identify and prioritise test cases for automation, focusing on maximising test coverage and efficiency.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure best practices in test automation are followed.
- Analyse test results and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with other QE team members across other squads, providing guidance on best practices for test automation and software quality assurance.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing and automation.
- Drive the adoption of AI and machine learning techniques within test automation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
The background we are looking for...
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in software development and quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
- Hands-on experience with web automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, WebDriverIO, or similar.
- Experience with mobile application automation frameworks like Appium or Detox.
- Proficient in API level test automation using tools like Postman, Pytest, RestAssured, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficient in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to enhance collaboration between QA, developers, and business stakeholders, ensuring the creation of comprehensive and automated test scenarios.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment utilising Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with cloud-based testing services like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or AWS Device Farm.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as CircleCI, Bitrise, or any other.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Splunk, or Grafana.
- Working knowledge and experience in automating the testing of AI/ML models and pipelines, ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability through robust automated testing strategies.
